 Your family will truly enjoy the long list of features
which are an essential part of the Hidden Acres camping experience. We know, without
reservation, that we have one of the most beautiful swimming lakes in the area. In fact,
we have often heard it referred to as a “natural pool.” This fresh, clear
spring-fed lake is naturally filtered for purity, with a sandy bottom and a white sand
beach. We constantly monitor and maintain the water’s clarity and provide a lifeguard
to insure your added safety and swimming enjoyment. Our lake is wonderful on those days
when the nearby ocean temperature is just a shade cool. If is because of the quality of
our lake swimming that we do not have a chlorinated pool on the property.
In addition to
swimming, we also offer two playgrounds, lighted shuffleboard courts, miniature golf, and
basketball. Our recreation building and air conditioned game room features a selection of
video games, pinball and pool tables. Planned activities are usually scheduled for some
mornings and some evenings. Because of our central location to amusements, gardens,
restaurants, museums, and rich, historical background, we don’t provide the 24 hour
activities that you might find in a summer camp. Ours are geared to “fill in”
when you’re not out seeing and doing things on your own.
Your campsite comes
complete with 30 or 50 amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV, fire ring and picnic table.
If you are new to camping, you may also wish to reserve one of our very nicely appointed
rental cabins. Shop for the necessities and that special souvenir in our grocery &
gift shop. Our restrooms, free hot showers and laundromat are kept sparklingly clean. The
atmosphere at Hidden Acres is, indeed, geared to family camping. We know that your days
are going to be filled with lots of activity, and a good night’s rest is important.
Management lives onsite and enforces quiet hours, and we are equipped with a gate system
that is controlled with a key which you receive upon registration.
